Skidoo Quick-Release Rack Install

If you haven't already installed your ski/board brackets you can find those instructions here.

GUIDE:

You will need:

  • Four Quick-Release Locks with Skidoo Hardware
  • Skidoo Quick-Release Rack
  • A T30 and T27 Driver
  • Medium Strength Loctite

Before you begin you may want to pull the LinQ adhesives and clean the surface with acetone or goo gone. This will help insure the locks function smoothly but is not completely necessary.

Add medium strength Loctite to the t-nut threads or T30 bolts.

Insert the backer plate so the shoulder is facing up and sits inside the LinQ holes.

Insert a T30 bolt from the bottom and thread it into the QR lock captive t-nut.

Thread the second T30 making sure the shoulders of the backer plate are within the LinQ holes and the backer plate sits flush against the bottom of the tunnel.

Snug the bolts but do not fully tighten so you can still move the lock slightly. Check to make sure the backer plate is seated properly within the LinQ holes.

Repeat for all four of the slide locks.

With the locks snug and in the open, unlocked position, put the rack in place. Engage the locks by pressing the plastic upper from the outside. Make sure the outside of each lock is flush to the outside of the rack.

Tighten all the T30 bolts.

Check to make sure the locks are sliding smoothly and the rack is able come on and on easily.

If the locks are too stiff to slide you can loosen the T27 bolt on the top of the lock slightly.

The better it works in your garage the better it will in the field.
